Luge World Champions wear Jacques Lemans

The new luge world champions were joyful, not only because of their gained medals but also because of receiving exclusive chronographs from Jacques Lemans. The traditional watch manufacturer was the official timekeeper at the luge world championship in Innsbruck / Igls – Austria, last weekend.

The worlds’ best bobsledders plunged into the famous ice channel of Innsbruck. The ice channel counts itself to the most modern but also most difficult bobsled tracks. This fact makes it particularly pleasing that Austrian and German athletes ranked higher than athletes from other nations.

The German double seaters scored a triple victory. Toni Eggert and Sascha Benecken won gold medals, Olympic champions Tobias Wendl and Tobias Arlt walked off with silver medals and Robin Geuke and David Gamm returned home with bronze medals. German athlete Tatjana Hüfner earned gold in women’s singles among other medals.

The Austrian National team was successful too. Mainly thanks to the motivated 28-year-old Tyrolean countryman Wolfgang Kindl. He scored gold both in the sprint competitions and in men’s singles.

Jacques Lemans is proud and pleased to have been selected as official timekeeeper. It shows the excellent reputation of the company. The brand was a constant companion during the event. TV-Channels such as ZDF, ARD, Eurosport, ORF, SFR and many more provided live reports from the event and thus transmitted the feeling and excitement of the world championship and the unique brand Jacques Lemans to millions of viewers.
