Where does the name Jacques Lemans come from?

Although there are many theories surrounding the origin of our iconic name, the simple truth is, the name was made up as a creative fantasy name.

Where does the Jacques Lemans online shop deliver too?

We deliver to the following countries: Austria, Germany, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Latvia, Lithuania, Croatia, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Czech Republic, Hungary, and Cyprus.

Is shipping free?

Yes. We send all orders for free to the prior mentioned countries.

How long is the shipping time for my order?

We try to send out your order as soon as possible. If you order on working days bevor 10.30 am and pay right away (via PayPal, instant bank transfer, or credit card), we will send out your order the same day. If you order after 10:30 am, we will send out your order the next working day.

The exact shipping time depends on the delivery address.

Can I track my order?

As soon as your order is sent, we will send you a shipping confirmation with a tracking number. If you do not receive this email, please contact us through our contact form.

Can my order be delivered to a “Packstation”?

Due to the high value of goods, a signature is necessary upon delivery. We therefore can not offer delivery to “packstationen”

I did not receive an order confirmation.

You will receive an automated order confirmation as soon as you finish the ordering process. Please make sure the e-mail address you provided is correct. Please also check your spam folder. Should you still run not receive the e-mail, please feel free to contact us via the contact form.

I would like to buy a replacement strap/part, where can I get one?

Unfortunately, we do not sell straps and parts to private customers. You can get either through our Jacques Lemans partners.

Our partners are also happy to install parts and repair your watch.

What payment methods does Jacques Lemans accept?

You can choose between prepayment, immediate transfer, invoice, credit card (Visa/Master) or PayPal.

Is my payment information safe?

Yes. Your transaction- and payment data are treated under strong international banking standards.

RETRUN & EXCHANGE

What is your return policy?

You are allowed to return the goods within fourteen days from delivery of the goods without stating a reason. Once your order has been received and accepted, your refund will be completed by the original payment method, excluding the delivery costs. If you purchased your goods via immediate transfer or prepayment, please transfer us your bank data (incl. BIC).

What is the return process?

Please add the invoice of your order to the package, you might also include the reason of return and your phone number, to reach you in the case of inquiries.

Who must carry the cost in case of return?

Referring to §15 FAGG the customer must bear the shipping cost.

What is your exchange policy?

Jacques Lemans does not offer direct exchange. Therefore, please return the order and you are welcome to order the new piece in the Jacques Lemans online store. If you have further questions, feel free to contact us via the contact form.

How can I cancel my order?

If you want to cancel your order, please contact us via the contact form. Please be aware that we can only cancel your order if the product has not been shipped.

WARRANTY & REPAIR

What is covered under warranty?

A warranty of 2 years generally applies to the products (goods) acquired via the online shop. Your watch is under warranty for all manufacturing defects. Excluded are defects through wear and tear caused by improper use, and defects caused by environmental influences. Watch bands, damages of the watch glas as well as battery are not covered unter warranty. 

I purchased a watch at the Jacques Lemans online store. This watch is still under warranty and does not work properly. How can I have the watch repaired?

Who has to carry the cost in case of a warranty case?

Referring to §15 FAGG the customer has to bear the shipping cost.

What is the durability of a Jacques Lemans watch’s battery?

Depending on several features and usage the battery life may fluctuate. Generally, the battery lasts between 2 and 3 years.

Can I order replacement parts for my watch?

Due to the high complexity of the watch movements, only our service partner can order replacement parts. Therefore, ordering parts through or online store is not possible. Our service partners are happy to help you out.

Is my mother of pearl watch face unique?

Yes, each mother of pearl watch face is unique. Mother of pearl is a natural stone, and each stone has a distinctive mosaic.

Are Jacques Lemans watches waterproof?

Yes. The water resistance is derivable from the engraving on your Jacques Lemans watch. All Jacques Lemans watches have a water resistance between 5 ATM and 20 ATM.

5 ATM = Splashproof. This means swimming and showring with the watch is not permitted. Should the watch get a little wet from rain or while washing your hands, there is no need to worry.

10 ATM = Swimming and showing is possible with this watch.

20 ATM = These watches usually have a screw down crown. If the screw down crown is secured tightly these watches can be worn while diving.

Please be aware: Every watch contains gaskets. These gaskets can deteriorate over time, consequently the specified water resistance might not be met anymore. We therefore recommend getting the gaskets checked regularly by a service partner. Ideally a seal test is done during the battery test. Please be aware that a seal test is only a snapshot. There are many factors that can affecting the gaskets, for example sunlight can alter their durability.

Can I change the battery of my watch myself?

Watches are tiny technical marvels, consequently a battery change additionally includes a check up of your watch is done. We therefore recommend having the battery changed by one of our service partners.

How often should I service my automatic or hand winding watch?

Have your Jacques Lemans watch checked regularly by an authorized service partner. The service interval for your automatic or hand winding watch should be around 5 years. Quartz watches should be checked every 5 to 10 years. Dependent on your watch model different parts are checked, cleaned, and exchanged.

Am I able to wear a stainless-steel watch if I am allergic against nickel?

Yes. Jacques Lemans watches consist of massive stainless-steel and only contain trace amounts of nickel. At this minimum quantity there is no output of nickel ions that could an allergic reaction.

How do I obtain a user manual for my watch?

If your package did not include a user manual feel free to contact our customer service, through the contact form. Our team will send you one as soon as possible.

Which quality do Jacques Lemans watches have?

Jacques Lemans produces its watches under the highest standards with selected materials. Each watch gets controlled before it is shipped. The quality features depend on the implementation/the model: a solidly massive stainless-steel case, 100% waterproof, hardened Crystex crystal (especially scratch resistant mineral glass), premium quartz- or automatic movement, screwed crown and case back, elegant and durable solid stainless-steel- or leather strap and many more.

How long does it take to fully charge my Eco Power Watch?

When charging the watch with natural sunlight, it takes about one day to get the watch fully charged.

Is it possible to charge my Eco Power Watch with artificial light?

Yes, you can charge the Eco Power watch both with artificial and natural light. However, natural light is more efficient.

How long does the battery of my Eco Power Watch last?

When fully charged the watch can last up to 120 days in darkness.
